After 5 played minutes Ossian AFC got a freekick which was hit by Darin Mims. When Eldon Corbin fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ossian AFC's protests and gave Eldon Corbin a yellow card for diving instead. Mel Souza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Douglass Meyer firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Jake Henson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Toby Swartz fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woods Cross FC's protests and gave Toby Swartz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute of the match Darin Cardona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregory Kitchen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gregory Kitchen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Goins in the 21st minute of play. Douglass Meyer made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Mel Souza sent off a good shot on target. If Mel Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jake Henson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglass Meyer was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. When Vincent Sims fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ossian AFC's protests and gave Vincent Sims a yellow card for diving instead. Bernardo Goins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gregory Kitchen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Goins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Ossian AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jake Henson came free, but Douglass Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes of play, Woods Cross FC's Jake Henson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglass Meyer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Douglass Meyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mel Souza in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Darin Mims hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ossian AFC's Douglass Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Ossian AFC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mickey Romano to strike the kick off in the second half. Gregory Kitchen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickey Romano, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Douglass Meyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake Henson in the 62nd minute of play. If Mickey Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Bernardo Goins got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mel Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Goins in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gregory Kitchen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After recieving a nice pass, Woods Cross FC's Solomon Peoples tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Jake Henson came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Woods Cross FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jake Henson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ossian AFC's Ward Walls got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Jake Henson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Woods Cross FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ossian AFC for a fine match.
