Ned Blackwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Blount having to interfere. Cherry Splitters's Jerrod Phillips played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrone Blackburn in the 17th minute of play. If Jess Bryson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mervin Ferris struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jerrod Phillips didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for dracko f.c. 31 minutes into the match, Cherry Splitters's goal looked a bit too open when Tyrone Blackburn came free, but Jerrod Phillips reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tyrone Blackburn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerrod Phillips having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Ned Blackwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Blount saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tyrone Blackburn to make the kick off. Jess Bryson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alonzo Blount tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, dracko f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Parish to maneuver through the defense. The dracko f.c fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when dracko f.c's Tyrone Blackburn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 68 minutes, Josef McMahon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the dracko f.c and the Cherry Splitters players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, dracko f.c's Josef McMahon got a free kick in the 68th minute. dracko f.c's Alonzo Blount played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jess Bryson in the 69th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Matt Soto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. dracko f.c's Alonzo Blount proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save dracko f.c from getting a goal against them. When Jess Bryson in the 73rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Alonzo Blount kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 3-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. A collision led to dracko f.c getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Alonso McCabe hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in dracko f.c's zone, Ned Blackwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Blount came out of the goal and Ned Blackwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reinaldo Parish got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Reinaldo Parish hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Josef McMahon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerrod Phillips read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. When Mervin Ferris came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the dracko f.c fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mervin Ferris couldn't finish the play. Cherry Splitters's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
