Spectators: 7318 (Terracing: 5818, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dillon Trotter got the match started through his kick off. When Donovan Washburn came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Manitou Springs FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donovan Washburn couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Manitou Springs FC booed when Shazam FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanh McKenna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sherman Larson got free with Darren Pulliam in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Donovan Washburn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manitou Springs FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Merle Spicer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donovan Washburn in the 18th minute of play. Shazam FC's Merle Spicer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Mims in the 25th minute of play. Dennis Fowler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merle Spicer having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Donovan Washburn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sherman Larson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Pulliam having to interfere. With a little luck, Manitou Springs FC's Darren Pulliam got control of the ball when Rhett Faulk tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute Donovan Washburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merle Spicer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Dillon Trotter took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darren Pulliam. Darren Pulliam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 57th minute, Sherman Larson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lazaro Lynn during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Manitou Springs FC's Lazaro Lynn got a free kick in the 58th minute. Manitou Springs FC's Lyle Morse shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Merle Spicer but with some difficulty. Tyrell Dickey hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Xavier Mims quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Darren Pulliam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dillon Trotter in the 68th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Manitou Springs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lazaro Lynn to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Manitou Springs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dillon Trotter came free, but Darren Pulliam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Dillon Trotter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Pulliam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Donovan Washburn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Merle Spicer. That made the score 1-3 in the 83 minute of play. Xavier Mims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Merle Spicer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donovan Washburn struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Merle Spicer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manitou Springs FC.
