After a rather tough play, Vanquish Utd's Kristopher Grier got a free kick in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Robbie Vernon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Burritos's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbie Vernon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerald Thomson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, Freddie Elder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Los Burritos's Robbie Vernon fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. When Los Burritos's Robbie Vernon in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vanquish Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Guy Dugan hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Robbie Vernon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Burritos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robbie Vernon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerald Thomson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mickey Whitman. When Guy Dugan fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vanquish Utd's protests and gave Guy Dugan a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Vanquish Utd got a freekick which was hit by Guy Dugan. 29 minutes into the match, Robbie Vernon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gerald Thomson, 1-0. 35 minutes into the match, Los Burritos's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Compton came free, but Jed Norman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerald Thomson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 37th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mickey Whitman. Robbie Vernon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gerald Thomson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Melvin Montano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerald Thomson. The goal made the score 2-0. Robbie Vernon struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Gerald Thomson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Burritos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melvin Montano got free with Gerald Thomson in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Los Burritos's Robbie Vernon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gerald Thomson. Gerald Thomson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbie Vernon to make the kick off. Asher Lackey hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Sydney Roman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jed Norman having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Sydney Roman took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Jed Norman to make any attempt to save it. Gerald Thomson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robbie Vernon went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After 65 played minutes Vanquish Utd got a freekick which was hit by Guy Dugan. Gerald Thomson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melvin Montano in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Robbie Vernon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerald Thomson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Robbie Vernon put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gerald Thomson. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Robbie Vernon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Burritos's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbie Vernon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerald Thomson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbie Vernon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Melvin Montano notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Vanquish Utd's Gerald Thomson. Gerald Thomson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute, Kristopher Grier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavio Varner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerald Thomson having to interfere. Gerald Thomson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie Vernon in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Leon Robinson made a precise shot to the right of Gerald Thomson. Vanquish Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. When the referee ended the match the Los Burritos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
