The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rudolph Dugan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lewis Brooks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damien Drake in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafal Bazan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes of play, Cape Cod FC's Damien Drake made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafal Bazan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafal Bazan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damien Drake went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Blue during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Dallas Stars's Stevie Hernandez in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cape Cod FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Ty Burkett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dallas Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ty Burkett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enoch Sparks in the 41st minute of play forced Cape Cod FC's goalkeeper Rudolph Dugan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Sanders hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The Dallas Stars players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cape Cod FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kurt Kaplan made a kick off. Lewis Brooks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rudolph Dugan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damien Drake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafal Bazan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Kaplan in the 68th minute of play forced Dallas Stars's goalkeeper Rafal Bazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudolph Dugan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lewis Brooks's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Rudolph Dugan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enoch Sparks in the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Dallas Stars's goalkeeper Rafal Bazan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damien Drake. Rafal Bazan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Kaplan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dallas Stars's Lewis Brooks got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dallas Stars's Lewis Brooks in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Chants of Cape Cod FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Dallas Stars had held the ball for most of the match.
