Spectators: 7703 (Terracing: 5779, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jacob Orozco got the match started through his kick off. Jean-Charles Rinaudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Gavin Hyatt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnny Mesen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Anchorage Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Robertson came free, but Johnny Mesen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Anchorage Athletic's Jacob Orozco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doug Pineda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Doug Pineda made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Jacob Orozco sent off a good shot on target. When Anchorage Athletic's Jacob Orozco in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Anchorage Athletic's Jean-Charles Rinaudo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Jacob Orozco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anchorage Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Orozco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doug Pineda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob Orozco in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doug Pineda saved Prospect FC from getting behind. Daniel Engel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Prospect FC's goalkeeper Doug Pineda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Doug Pineda made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jean-Charles Rinaudo sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the game, Tad Albert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Johnny Mesen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jacob Orozco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doug Pineda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. When Jean-Charles Rinaudo came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Anchorage Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Charles Rinaudo couldn't finish the play. Doug Pineda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Charles Rinaudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The Anchorage Athletic players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Prospect FC were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sammy Robertson to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Anchorage Athletic getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Del Corley hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Prospect FC's zone, Jean-Charles Rinaudo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doug Pineda came out of the goal and Jean-Charles Rinaudo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doug Pineda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Orozco in the 59th minute of play. Johnny Mesen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Robertson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Orozco in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doug Pineda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gavin Hyatt charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gavin Hyatt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Gavin Hyatt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Orozco in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doug Pineda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 minutes of play Prospect FC's Gavin Hyatt was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 78 minutes of play, Anchorage Athletic's Gualterio Eliu made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doug Pineda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sammy Robertson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Orozco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doug Pineda having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Anchorage Athletic lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
