After a defensive mix-up in South River's zone, Cobi Fairchild stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodger Ayala came out of the goal and Cobi Fairchild tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the game, Owen Rice was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Angels's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South River the free kick. In the 7th minute, Owen Rice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When South River's Cobi Morton in 8 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Dwight Scales guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After having played for 13 minutes, Cobi Morton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South River's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cobi Morton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Len Sawyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Villalobos hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Real Angels's Arnoldo Shultz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for South River. The audience was convinced that Cobi Fairchild's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodger Ayala was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Cobi Fairchild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rodger Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dwight Scales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cobi Morton in the 33rd minute of the match. Cobi Fairchild came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rodger Ayala could save by the left post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Real Angels players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for South River.
