Valley Falls AFC's Patrick Newell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Valley Falls AFC from getting a goal against them. Sydney Call's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rashad Jacob read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Freddy Waller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Freddy Waller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rashad Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Freddy Waller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valley Falls AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Waller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rashad Jacob breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rashad Jacob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Call in the 21st minute of the match. Sydney Call ran back to his position shaking his head.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudy Altman made a kick off. Rashad Jacob made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddy Waller in the 54th minute. Valley Falls AFC's Cory Lott shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rashad Jacob but with some difficulty. Rashad Jacob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Call, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Freddy Waller scored 1-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rashad Jacob, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute Rene Barrow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Newell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rudy Altman came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Linden United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudy Altman couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Valley Falls AFC's Sydney Call ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rashad Jacob. Rashad Jacob yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Rashad Jacob didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. If Freddy Waller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Valley Falls AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Linden United throughout the match.
