Brant Benson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Sugarcreek's Cedric Cervantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rashad Jacob narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sheldon Bristol's late challenge caught a Linden United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sheldon Bristol helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Sugarcreek got a freekick which was hit by Sheldon Bristol. In the 26th minute, Linden United's Rudy Altman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After having played for 35 minutes, Cedric Cervantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sugarcreek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cedric Cervantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cedric Cervantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Cedric Cervantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sugarcreek's supporters rose to their feet, but Cedric Cervantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rashad Jacob breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rupert David made the kick off in the second half. Rene Barrow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Kohler having to interfere. After 58 played minutes, Linden United's Manuel Salter shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bart Kohler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Linden United reached it. If Rudy Altman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 minutes of play, Linden United's Rene Barrow made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bart Kohler was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 played minutes Linden United got a freekick which was hit by Brant Benson. Bart Kohler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Altman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cedric Cervantes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Rashad Jacob when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rene Barrow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Kohler having to interfere. If Cedric Cervantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the match, Sugarcreek's Cedric Cervantes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sugarcreek's Rene Padgett pulled a muscle in his leg after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Salvador Chester's late challenge caught a Sugarcreek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Chester helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Linden United's Salvador Chester got a free kick in the 95th minute.
