Nathan Harman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Cooke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Terrance Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calhoun Falls's Stan Barker managed to work through East Los Angeles's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Stan Barker dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Nathan Harman came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Calhoun Falls's Stan Barker. But to his dismay, Stan Barker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, East Los Angeles's goal looked a bit too open when Stan Barker came free, but Nathan Harman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Stan Barker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nathan Harman was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Edward Thorne charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edward Thorne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Calhoun Falls booed when East Los Angeles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Thorne didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes East Los Angeles got a freekick which was hit by Edward Thorne. After a rather tough play, Calhoun Falls's Jerold Brantley got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Calhoun Falls's Jesse Sylvester got control of the ball when Wayne Dudley tried to sneak it across the goal line. East Los Angeles's Nathan Harman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Barker in the 36th minute of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Stan Barker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but East Los Angeles's Nathan Harman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute, Carlos Cooke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Terrance Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jesse Sylvester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scot Rhodes hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Wayne Dudley might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jesse Sylvester. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wayne Dudley ran back to his position shaking his head. Wayne Dudley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jesse Sylvester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Calhoun Falls were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Stan Barker made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Nathan Harman managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Calhoun Falls's Stan Barker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 56 minutes into the match, East Los Angeles's goalkeeper Nathan Harman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stan Barker. In the 57th minute Carlos Cooke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Harman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stan Barker's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Nathan Harman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 63rd match minute, East Los Angeles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilbur Yoder to maneuver through the defense. Nathan Harman made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Stan Barker sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute, Carlos Cooke fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nathan Harman, passed just outside the right post. 0-2 became the score in the 70th minute when Stan Barker elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Terrance Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Sylvester having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Calhoun Falls's zone, Terrance Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesse Sylvester came out of the goal and Terrance Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Kory Singh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stan Barker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Nathan Harman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Thorne hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. A collision led to East Los Angeles getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Edward Thorne hit a great ball.
