When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Wayne Dudley sped through Montana FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rashad Saunders. Rashad Saunders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wayne Dudley's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Oliver Gray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Harman having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Montana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wayne Dudley came free, but Rashad Saunders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver Gray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nathan Harman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. A collision led to East Los Angeles getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Danny Glover hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Gray made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilber Billings during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of East Los Angeles booed when Montana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilber Billings didn't get a good kick on the ball. East Los Angeles's Wayne Dudley got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliver Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Nathan Harman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathan Harman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Gray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Montana FC's goalkeeper Rashad Saunders, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Montana FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Terrance Marquez scored to the left of an out of position Rashad Saunders, making the score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, East Los Angeles's Danny Glover got a free kick in the 95th minute. 100 minutes into the match, East Los Angeles's goal looked a bit too open when Isaiah Stewart came free, but Nathan Harman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
