Spectators: 7617 (Terracing: 5784, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 60) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stan Barker started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Stan Barker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calhoun Falls's supporters rose to their feet, but Stan Barker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. J.P. Britton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Stan Barker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but J.P. Britton was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Bynum in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg J.P. Britton saved Chino Hills from getting behind. J.P. Britton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Bynum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bill Dawkins's late challenge caught a Calhoun Falls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bill Dawkins helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chino Hills's Bill Dawkins got a free kick in the 29th minute. The Calhoun Falls fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Calhoun Falls's Stan Barker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Chino Hills's zone, Carlos Cooke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. J.P. Britton came out of the goal and Carlos Cooke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Calhoun Falls were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gavin Quintero to make the kick off. Carlos Cooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. J.P. Britton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chino Hills's zone, Carlos Cooke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. J.P. Britton came out of the goal and Carlos Cooke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Warren Joyce came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Chino Hills fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Joyce couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Calhoun Falls's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Quintero came free, but Jesse Sylvester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Avery during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Chino Hills getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jose Avery hit a great ball. With a little luck, Chino Hills's J.P. Britton got control of the ball when Stan Barker tried to sneak it across the goal line. J.P. Britton made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Freddy Bynum sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute, Warren Joyce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Chino Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Cooke came free, but J.P. Britton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Chino Hills getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Larry Whitfield hit a great ball. Jesse Sylvester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Joyce in the 89th minute of the match. Gavin Quintero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Sylvester having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Warren Joyce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chino Hills's supporters rose to their feet, but Warren Joyce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesse Sylvester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calhoun Falls's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
