Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Forrest Marsh took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Islanders's goalkeeper Monroe Nance had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Graig Hooper. 4 minutes into the game, Freddy Miller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Julian Goddard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 8 minutes into the match, Islanders's goalkeeper Monroe Nance had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Graig Hooper. Boyce Calloway kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Monroe Nance made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Forrest Marsh in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Casey Lefler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Forrest Marsh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Monroe Nance tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Forrest Marsh lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Monroe Nance. After a rather tough play, Blakes AC's Forrest Marsh got a free kick in the 39th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Miller to make the kick off. Graig Hooper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Forrest Marsh might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Monroe Nance. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Forrest Marsh ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Forrest Marsh in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Monroe Nance saved Islanders from getting behind. Monroe Nance took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graig Hooper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 69 minutes, Forrest Marsh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blakes AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Forrest Marsh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Graig Hooper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julian Goddard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Merrill MacWilliams in the 82nd minute. In the 85th match minute, Blakes AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lazaro Boston to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th play minute Merrill MacWilliams came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julian Goddard. 1-2. Graig Hooper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Monroe Nance read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. If Freddy Miller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merrill MacWilliams was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Blakes AC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Islanders to win.
