Spectators: 7750 (Terracing: 5814, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Shannon Velazquez got the match started through his kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Bellefonte AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vern DeJesus came free, but Jamal De La Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jamal De La Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ollie Goode, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Jamal De La Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernie Saucedo in the 12th minute of play. Jamal De La Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ollie Goode went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Arnoldo Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bellefonte AFC's Clark Stiles shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Elliott Stapleton but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shannon Velazquez in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elliott Stapleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jamal De La Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ollie Goode, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Jamal De La Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Goode in the 33rd minute of play. Bernie Saucedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamal De La Cruz having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernie Saucedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Vern DeJesus fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glen Ellyn's protests and gave Vern DeJesus a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Vern DeJesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Sherwood took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elliott Stapleton. Glen Ellyn's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Salgado notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Glen Ellyn's Elliott Stapleton. Elliott Stapleton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 65 minutes, Arthur Lund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glen Ellyn and the Bellefonte AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bellefonte AFC booed when Glen Ellyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Lund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shannon Velazquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elliott Stapleton having to make a save. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Glen Ellyn's goalkeeper Elliott Stapleton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Bellefonte AFC's Arnoldo Salgado in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Glen Ellyn's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Glen Ellyn getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Anders Ersman hit a great ball. After 77 minutes, Shannon Velazquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bellefonte AFC and the Glen Ellyn players grew even worse after the yellow card. Shannon Velazquez kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Bernie Saucedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ollie Goode recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Salgado in the 83rd minute of play forced Glen Ellyn's goalkeeper Elliott Stapleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Bernie Saucedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jamal De La Cruz to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Bellefonte AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Blair Peters hit a great ball. Bernie Saucedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jamal De La Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Ollie Goode recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jamal De La Cruz. Ollie Goode showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Glen Ellyn's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
