Terrence Huston made in the 9th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jefferson Vance. 11 minutes into the match, Gibson AFC's Dario Doran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evan McCloud narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rocky Escobedo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Gregory Cegielski kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Rocky Escobedo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Evan McCloud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eldon Barrera in the 17th minute of the match. Dario Doran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Corazón Unido's Aidan Montgomery got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Rocky Escobedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evan McCloud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dario Doran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Doran charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Doran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gibson AFC's Dario Doran got a free kick in the 24th minute. Cyrus Mueller made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Lee Vickers sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the game, Adam Rose was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gibson AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corazón Unido the free kick. After 28 played minutes Gibson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adam Rose. In the 29th minute of the match Terrence Huston sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cyrus Mueller skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Rocky Escobedo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Evan McCloud. Evan McCloud stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rocky Escobedo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The Corazón Unido players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gibson AFC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rocky Escobedo to make the kick off. If Sergio Starnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corazón Unido's Rickey Starnes got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gibson AFC's Cyrus Mueller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickey Starnes in the 68th minute of play. Cyrus Mueller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickey Starnes in the 69th minute of play. Cyrus Mueller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickey Starnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyrus Mueller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee Vickers in the 73rd minute of the match. Lee Vickers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cyrus Mueller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rocky Escobedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evan McCloud having to make a save. Rocky Escobedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evan McCloud read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Sergio Starnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evan McCloud having to interfere. Rocky Escobedo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 87th playminute. Gibson AFC's Dario Doran got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gibson AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
