The supporters of Glen Ellyn booed when Beverly Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Cramer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernie Saucedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Clinton Barry skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Renato Cramer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, Beverly Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Cramer to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Gordon Sweet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beverly Hills's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glen Ellyn the free kick. A collision led to Beverly Hills getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gordon Sweet hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Rolando Buck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beverly Hills's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Buck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elliott Stapleton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clinton Barry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ollie Goode in the 40th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Glen Ellyn's Clinton Barry threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ollie Goode, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernie Saucedo to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Arthur Lund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glen Ellyn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beverly Hills the free kick. Bernie Saucedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Clinton Barry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Beverly Hills's Connor Coronado got a free kick in the 87th minute. Clinton Barry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Goode in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Bernie Saucedo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Beverly Hills's Clinton Barry. Clinton Barry was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. During the 96th minute of the match Gordon Sweet completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gordon Sweet a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 96th minute, Gordon Sweet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Glen Ellyn fully deserved thier win.
