Romanguaça FC's Richie Timmons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caleb Goldsmith in the 28th minute of play. Emmitt Cuevas might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richie Timmons. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emmitt Cuevas ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lewis Barnes during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Romanguaça FC's Lewis Barnes got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Gabriel Gifford shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richie Timmons showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Caleb Goldsmith kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When Monte Healy came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Romanguaça FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Monte Healy couldn't finish the play. Richie Timmons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmitt Cuevas in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Monte Healy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
