Ahmed Izturis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Kaiser having to interfere. Allan Ruff hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 37 played minutes, Lex FC's Tyron Travis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Trevor Ng came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lex FC reached it. 38 minutes into the match, Lex FC's Yong Crawford sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trevor Ng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Rolando Rios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Christopher FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lex FC the free kick. In the 42nd minute Gavin Barney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Ng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavin Barney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Christopher FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Christopher FC booed when Lex FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Grover didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Christopher FC's Moises Henson got a free kick in the 61st minute. Trevor Ng came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Lex FC's Yong Crawford. But to his dismay, Yong Crawford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. George Kaiser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Lefler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gavin Barney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yong Crawford got free with Trevor Ng in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. George Kaiser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Lefler, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Christopher FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Gavin Barney scored to the left of an out of position Trevor Ng, making the score, 1-2. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lex FC's goalkeeper George Kaiser, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Christopher FC's zone, Gavin Barney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor Ng came out of the goal and Gavin Barney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yong Crawford was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Lex FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lex FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
