But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Villegas couldn't finish the play. Art Jenkins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Josef Charles made a huge save. In the 10th minute, Aldo Bean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The McCall fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Aldo Bean took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Eldridge. Adrian Eldridge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Art Jenkins scored 2-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josef Charles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Josef Charles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merle Beltre in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Villegas in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Eldridge saved Fort Shawnee from getting behind. Adrian Eldridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Villegas in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Art Jenkins notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of McCall's Josef Charles. Josef Charles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Merle Beltre during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Merle Beltre got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 44th minute, Merle Beltre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fort Shawnee's Adrian Eldridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Bean in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Bean stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aldo Bean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. McCall's Dave Villegas got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Fort Shawnee defense, Aldo Bean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Eldridge. The Fort Shawnee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Eldridge should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Fort Shawnee getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Art Jenkins hit a great ball. Aldo Bean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Dave Villegas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Winston Courtney's late challenge caught a McCall's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Fort Shawnee's zone, Dave Villegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Eldridge came out of the goal and Dave Villegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Fort Shawnee's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aldo Bean fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dave Villegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Adrian Eldridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aldo Bean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Eldridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Villegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
