Spectators: 7381 (Terracing: 5756, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Gavin Barney started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Lex FC booed when Fort Shawnee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Barry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Eldridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavin Barney in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Jon Gonzalez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adrian Eldridge. The goal made the score 1-0. After 16 played minutes, Fort Shawnee's Cyrus Miranda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper George Kaiser came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fort Shawnee reached it. Adrian Eldridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Barney in the 18th minute of the match. Winston Courtney kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Gavin Barney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Adrian Eldridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gavin Barney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Art Jenkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Winston Courtney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Winston Courtney to make the kick off. Salvador Padilla kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Gavin Barney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute Yong Crawford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Eldridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Fort Shawnee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merle Beltre to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Fort Shawnee's goal looked a bit too open when Yong Crawford came free, but Adrian Eldridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Kaiser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Winston Courtney, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Fort Shawnee's Adrian Eldridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yong Crawford in the 79th minute of play. Art Jenkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. George Kaiser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Homer Pagan fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fort Shawnee's protests and gave Homer Pagan a yellow card for diving instead. Homer Pagan kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Gavin Barney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Eldridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fort Shawnee's Merle Beltre got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fort Shawnee's zone, Yong Crawford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Eldridge came out of the goal and Yong Crawford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lex FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fort Shawnee had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
