He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zanice FC reached it. The supporters of Zanice FC booed when Brielle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pete Starnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clayton Harper hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Stephen Corona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Carr, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of Brielle booed when Zanice FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Holloway didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Brielle's Don Moses broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Stephen Corona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Carr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brielle's Brendon Crandall got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stuart Carr struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Stephen Corona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zanice FC. If Stuart Carr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stuart Carr hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zanice FC's zone, Brendon Crandall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chase Workman came out of the goal and Brendon Crandall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Zanice FC's Clayton Harper got a free kick in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brendon Crandall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Don Moses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 57 minutes, Stuart Carr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zanice FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Carr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stuart Carr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Zanice FC got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Kelly. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Moses in the 61st minute of play forced Zanice FC's goalkeeper Chase Workman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th match minute, Brielle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Moses to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Brielle's Brendon Crandall got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Brielle's goalkeeper Stephen Corona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kenny Kelly. After 82 minutes of play, Brielle's Darin Herron made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chase Workman was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Kenny Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stuart Carr in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stephen Corona, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 94th match minute, Zanice FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Kelly to maneuver through the defense.
