To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rashad Doud's late challenge caught a Statesboro Impact's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rashad Doud helped the player get up and apologised. King Honeycutt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Reiffton FC got a freekick which was hit by Philip Dietz. Stephan Stein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Reiffton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but King Honeycutt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanford Magee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stanford Magee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacques Numbers in the 37th minute of play. Stephan Stein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marlon Wilkins having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacques Numbers in the 45th minute of play forced Statesboro Impact's goalkeeper Stanford Magee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Statesboro Impact defense, Jacques Numbers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanford Magee. The Statesboro Impact fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanford Magee should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacques Numbers made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Reiffton FC's goalkeeper Marlon Wilkins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stephan Stein. After 56 played minutes Statesboro Impact got a freekick which was hit by William Peters. In the 57thth minute of the game King Honeycutt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Statesboro Impact's Stanford Magee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. King Honeycutt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 3-0 became the score in the 66th minute when Jacques Numbers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. King Honeycutt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanford Magee having to interfere. If Jacques Numbers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Jacques Numbers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanford Magee was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Jacques Numbers might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanford Magee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacques Numbers ran back to his position shaking his head. King Honeycutt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Stanford Magee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
