Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonah Copeland in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Gorman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonah Copeland in the 7th minute of play forced Sporting Olathe's goalkeeper Erik Gorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonah Copeland scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erik Gorman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th match minute, Sporting Olathe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanford Owen to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Philadelphia AFC's Wilmer Shapiro tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Benedict Owens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benedict Owens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Reyes Zuniga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Warren Means fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Gorman having to interfere. Philadelphia AFC's Jonah Copeland got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Warren Means got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Stephen Hough fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Olathe's protests and gave Stephen Hough a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sporting Olathe's Stephen Hough got a free kick in the 45th minute. Jonah Copeland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Gorman having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonah Copeland made a kick off. Erik Gorman came out of the goal and Jonah Copeland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erik Gorman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonah Copeland, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Sporting Olathe's Erik Gorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonah Copeland in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, Sporting Olathe's Erik Gorman got control of the ball when Warren Means tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reyes Zuniga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedict Owens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanford Owen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Reyes Zuniga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reyes Zuniga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedict Owens in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Philadelphia AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
