After having played for 27 minutes, Norman Rosas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaya Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norman Rosas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Norman Rosas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Tom Burke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Olathe's Erik Gorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Rosas in the 31st minute of play. Jaya Fc's Christopher Fritz got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norman Rosas in the 44th minute of play forced Sporting Olathe's goalkeeper Erik Gorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Ramsdal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Olathe. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norman Rosas to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Ed Zaragoza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erik Gorman, passed just outside the right post. Aaron Ramsdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedict Owens in the 64th minute of play. Aaron Ramsdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Hough, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Benedict Owens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Aaron Ramsdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Moses Moses mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Olathe and the Jaya Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Sporting Olathe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moses Moses to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Benedict Owens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Olathe's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedict Owens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Ramsdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sporting Olathe's Stephen Hough got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Norman Rosas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Gorman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norman Rosas's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Christopher Fritz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christopher Fritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Erik Gorman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Gorman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Christopher Fritz. In the 90th match minute, Jaya Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ward Hinson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 92 minutes, Stephen Hough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Olathe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stephen Hough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaya Fc were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
