Denny Winters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurence Boles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. With his leg Laurence Boles managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when La Scaloneta FC's Norberto Cobb fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 96 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Peñarol's goalkeeper Laurence Boles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Cobb. The Club Atletico Peñarol fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Scaloneta FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
