The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Buitres F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcellus Atkins to maneuver through the defense. Maxwell Brandon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 13th playminute. Teddy Yates struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Rich Burrows didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bunker Hill Village FC. Rich Burrows made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gary Rush in the 20th minute of play. Jonathon Beltran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Esparza having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Elvis Mueller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Bunker Hill Village FC's zone, Maxwell Brandon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrence Esparza came out of the goal and Maxwell Brandon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Jonathon Beltran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buitres F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathon Beltran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maxwell Brandon might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lawrence Esparza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxwell Brandon ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Bunker Hill Village FC's zone, Jonathon Beltran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrence Esparza came out of the goal and Jonathon Beltran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Teddy Yates left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bunker Hill Village FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teddy Yates to make the kick off. Lawrence Esparza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maxwell Brandon's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the game, Bunker Hill Village FC's Gary Rush nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rich Burrows made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Lawrence Esparza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxwell Brandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lawrence Esparza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Pereira in the 63rd minute of play. Jonathon Beltran struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Lawrence Esparza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buitres F.C.. During the 68th minute of the match Kevin Wynn completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kevin Wynn a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 69th minute, Kevin Wynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Darryl Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buitres F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bunker Hill Village FC the free kick. In the 74th minute, Darryl Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rich Burrows made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gary Rush in the 76th minute. During the 77th minute of the match Darryl Pereira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. Grady Nunez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rich Burrows having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Gary Rush managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunker Hill Village FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gary Rush was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rich Burrows breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Bunker Hill Village FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maxwell Brandon came free, but Lawrence Esparza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grady Nunez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maxwell Brandon struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Lawrence Esparza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buitres F.C.. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bunker Hill Village FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
