With a little luck, Golden Knights's Stan Goldberg got control of the ball when Leonardo Pryor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renato Rosas in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrian Hicks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 15 minutes Excaliburs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kyle Crane who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Golden Knights's Kyle Crane to fire away a dangerous shot which Adrian Hicks despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Stan Goldberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Pryor in the 18th minute. If Rupert Casey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Rosas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Hicks having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Pryor got free with Stan Goldberg in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stan Goldberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Pryor in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Knights's goalkeeper Stan Goldberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Golden Knights booed when Excaliburs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keenan Cutler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Golden Knights's Jeff Lund got a free kick in the 34th minute. Leonardo Pryor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Stan Goldberg made a huge save. Jeff Lund hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Leonardo Pryor struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Stan Goldberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Excaliburs. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Rupert Casey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Excaliburs's supporters rose to their feet, but Rupert Casey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stan Goldberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Golden Knights's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Leonardo Pryor scored to the left of an out of position Stan Goldberg, making the score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Excaliburs's Leonardo Pryor got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rupert Casey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th match minute, Excaliburs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keenan Cutler to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Hicks was a little too slow when Renato Rosas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 2-1. With his leg Adrian Hicks managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Golden Knights's Emmitt Andrade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Excaliburs booed when Golden Knights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Lund didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Excaliburs's Adrian Hicks got control of the ball when Emmitt Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Casey in the 84th minute of play forced Golden Knights's goalkeeper Stan Goldberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
