Waldo Vernon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Minster's goalkeeper Luciano Good, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Travis Gale took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sherwood Drake. Sherwood Drake dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Travis Gale in the 16th minute of play forced Sheffield Wednesday's goalkeeper Sherwood Drake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sherwood Drake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Travis Gale, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute, Ollie Pennington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luther Hand took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luciano Good. Minster's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Travis Gale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sherwood Drake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sherwood Drake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Travis Gale in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Travis Gale in the 40th minute of play forced Sheffield Wednesday's goalkeeper Sherwood Drake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zachariah Wall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sherwood Drake having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldo Vernon made a kick off. Ollie Pennington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Sheffield Wednesday defense, Zachariah Wall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sherwood Drake. The Sheffield Wednesday fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sherwood Drake should have stopped the shot. Minster's Travis Gale got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sherwood Drake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Travis Gale, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Waldo Vernon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Minster's goal looked a bit too open when Waldo Vernon came free, but Luciano Good reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Minster's Leonard Connor got a free kick in the 70th minute. Luciano Good made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Pennington in the 74th minute of play. Travis Gale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sherwood Drake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Travis Gale, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Luther Hand kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Sherwood Drake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Travis Gale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sherwood Drake made an important save on a dangerous shot by Travis Gale in the 87th minute. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Zachariah Wall got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
