In the 6th minute, one of Stonewood FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stonewood FC. After a rather tough play, Stonewood FC's Christopher Holmes got a free kick in the 13th minute. Gregorio Hancock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Bullock was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Stan Corey. Sherwood Drake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Houston Rushing in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Waldo Vernon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gregorio Hancock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Foster Gilmore in the 93rd minute of play forced Sheffield Wednesday's goalkeeper Sherwood Drake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sheffield Wednesday's Waldo Vernon got a free kick in the 96th minute. Sheffield Wednesday's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
