Shayne Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Pina in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Sean Pina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shayne Herrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Shayne Herrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Lincoln, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Legacy America's C.J. Beltre got a free kick in the 24th minute. Martin Frederick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Walter Sprague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Frederick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bronson Goff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Sprague having to interfere. When Legacy America's Elijah Cates in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Connecticut FC's goalie prevented a goal. Sylvester Presley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Connecticut FC's Shayne Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Lincoln in the 46th minute of play.

Legacy America's Walter Sprague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Frederick in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute, Legacy America's Elijah Cates ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Shayne Herrera. Shayne Herrera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 68th minute Martin Frederick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Sprague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Legacy America getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Sean Pina hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Connecticut FC's zone, Reuben Luna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shayne Herrera came out of the goal and Reuben Luna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reuben Luna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Shayne Herrera made a huge save. With a little luck, Connecticut FC's Shayne Herrera got control of the ball when David Lincoln tried to sneak it across the goal line. Walter Sprague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Frederick in the 88th minute of play. In the 88th minute, C.J. Beltre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shayne Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elijah Cates in the 90th minute of play. The Legacy America supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Legacy America would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
