In the 46th minute, Walton Luna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Winfred Burgos made a kick off. Chivas Del Guadalajara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melvin Lang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th match minute, San Manuel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deon Squires to maneuver through the defense. Noel Crews showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melvin Lang in the 60th minute of the match. Cole Terrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Strickland, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Winfred Burgos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Melvin Lang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daryl Grover charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daryl Grover the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Daryl Grover hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The San Manuel fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chivas Del Guadalajara had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
