Rolland Sanders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence Hamby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bradly Blackwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Cahill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolland Sanders having to interfere. Rolland Sanders came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by New Stanton AFC's Ernie Elder. But to his dismay, Ernie Elder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Santa Clarita Currents's Solomon Campos got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Thomas Cahill notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders. Rolland Sanders was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Cahill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sawyer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Rolland Sanders made a huge save. Solomon Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lawrence Hamby hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bradly Blackwell during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders got control of the ball when Thomas Cahill tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santa Clarita Currents's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Thomas Cahill 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Rolland Sanders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otis Humphries went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 76 minutes into the match, Santa Clarita Currents's goalkeeper Rolland Sanders had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otis Humphries. When Alonzo Rosales fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Clarita Currents's protests and gave Alonzo Rosales a yellow card for diving instead. Alonzo Rosales hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Rolland Sanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Cahill, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Santa Clarita Currents fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New Stanton AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
