Gregorio Hurley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rodger Dunbar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Byzantium AFC booed when Villa madero f.c was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phillip Dietz made a kick off. Monte Cavazos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Freddy Barton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. When Jack Wray came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Villa madero f.c fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Wray couldn't finish the play. Graig Gamble's late challenge caught a Villa madero f.c's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
