Derrick Everett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bo Engel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, North tijuana's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Egan came free, but Brad Fulton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th match minute, North tijuana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiley Tompkins to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes Chandler AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nick Strickland. North tijuana's Derrick Everett got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Truman Medina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bo Engel. Chandler AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Truman Medina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 41st minute Octavio Egan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Fulton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thaddeus Rodriguez kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Truman Medina kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Octavio Egan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 63rd match minute, North tijuana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caleb Beach to maneuver through the defense. Chandler AFC's Ray Becker came free and shot a quick shot against goal 65 minutes in the game, fortunately Brad Fulton had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Caleb Beach kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Brad Fulton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Egan in the 72nd minute of the match. If Octavio Egan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Derrick Everett came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the North tijuana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derrick Everett couldn't finish the play. Truman Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brad Fulton was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Octavio Egan. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. North tijuana had won after a very even match.
