Victory Lakes FC's Derrick Darling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Victory Lakes FC from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, Canastota FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jamar Robinson came free, but Brian Whaley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match Son Gardner sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brian Whaley skillfully saved the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Victory Lakes FC's Carlos Evans made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Whaley was left in no man's land by his defense there! King Easley charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed King Easley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Victory Lakes FC's King Easley got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Canastota FC got a freekick which was hit by Nick Vann. Jamar Robinson struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Brian Whaley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victory Lakes FC. Jamar Robinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Elias West made a precise shot to the right of Derrick Darling. Victory Lakes FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.

After a rather tough play, Canastota FC's Shane Nunn got a free kick in the 57th minute. Nick Vann hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Jamar Robinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 71 played minutes Victory Lakes FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Alonzo. Carlos Evans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Whaley having to interfere. Derrick Darling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias West in the 89th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nathaniel Romo during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Victory Lakes FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Nathaniel Romo hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Elias West put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Derrick Darling. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Victory Lakes FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
