The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peter Cuevas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sherman Abernathy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryan Espinosa in the 5th minute of play forced New Whiteland FC's goalkeeper Peter Cuevas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Bryan Espinosa made a precise shot to the right of Peter Cuevas. New Whiteland FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. New Whiteland FC's Peter Cuevas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rex Levine in the 10th minute of play. Emmitt Myers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quincy Burks in the 17th minute. Quentin Marshall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Emmitt Myers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lee Whitney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. New Whiteland FC's Quentin Marshall got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, New Whiteland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Levine came free, but Peter Cuevas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, one of New Whiteland FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New Whiteland FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sherman Abernathy in the 39th minute of play forced New Whiteland FC's goalkeeper Peter Cuevas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Cuevas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Espinosa in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to New Whiteland FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Blaine Longoria hit a great ball. Peter Cuevas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rex Levine, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sherman Abernathy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Peter Cuevas made a huge save. The supporters of Armona booed when New Whiteland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Pollock didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rex Levine in the 58th minute of play forced New Whiteland FC's goalkeeper Peter Cuevas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Bryan Espinosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Cuevas. New Whiteland FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryan Espinosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Peter Cuevas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Barrow in the 64th minute. Emmitt Myers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quentin Marshall, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Quentin Marshall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emmitt Myers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quincy Burks struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Emmitt Myers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Whiteland FC. Clay Blanton charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clay Blanton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Armona got a freekick which was hit by Clay Blanton. Lee Whitney took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emmitt Myers. Armona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. During the 79th minute of the match Clay Blanton completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Clay Blanton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Armona's Clay Blanton got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Lee Whitney sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emmitt Myers skillfully saved the ball. If Bryan Espinosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Cuevas made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Sherman Abernathy sent off a good shot on target. After 87 minutes of play, New Whiteland FC's Quincy Burks made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emmitt Myers was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, New Whiteland FC's Peter Cuevas got control of the ball when Sherman Abernathy tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Armona could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than New Whiteland FC throughout the match.
