Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tristan Larson started the match with the kick off. Derrick Darling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Larson in the 8th minute of the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Domenico Marin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wyckoff Torpedoes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Marin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Jayson Stephenson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes Victory Lakes FC got a freekick which was hit by Nathaniel Romo. Damian Gillis's late challenge caught a Victory Lakes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Gillis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wyckoff Torpedoes's Damian Gillis got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to Wyckoff Torpedoes getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Sung Dudley hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Milo Gabriel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wyckoff Torpedoes's Brendon Reeder didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domenico Marin in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derrick Darling saved Victory Lakes FC from getting behind. In the 23rd minute of the match Randolph Guthrie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brendon Reeder showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tristan Larson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Derrick Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendon Reeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Wyckoff Torpedoes's goal looked a bit too open when Nathaniel Romo came free, but Brendon Reeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Domenico Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domenico Marin struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Derrick Darling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wyckoff Torpedoes. Jamar Robinson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendon Reeder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jamar Robinson was the one to do the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Carlos Evans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wyckoff Torpedoes's Brendon Reeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Woody Velasco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Derrick Darling. Victory Lakes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Victory Lakes FC's zone, Domenico Marin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derrick Darling came out of the goal and Domenico Marin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Victory Lakes FC booed when Wyckoff Torpedoes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sung Dudley didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamar Robinson in the 74th minute of play forced Wyckoff Torpedoes's goalkeeper Brendon Reeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domenico Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Derrick Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Victory Lakes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathaniel Romo to maneuver through the defense. Victory Lakes FC's Derrick Darling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickie Grady in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Victory Lakes FC's zone, Tristan Larson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derrick Darling came out of the goal and Tristan Larson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Victory Lakes FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wyckoff Torpedoes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
