An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Sidney Vaughn got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 14 minutes into the match, Little Elm FC's Sidney Vaughn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Don Doyle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the game, one of Barnwell:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Don Doyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Vaughn, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Sidney Vaughn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Don Doyle. Barnwell's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Vaughn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Rene Hanson scored 4-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Don Doyle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, Sidney Vaughn made a precise shot to the right of Don Doyle. Barnwell's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Don Doyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Hanson's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Abdul Thomson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barnwell's Don Doyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Vaughn in the 80th minute of play. If Sidney Vaughn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Don Doyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidney Vaughn's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Rene Hanson put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Don Doyle. If Sidney Vaughn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Rene Hanson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Little Elm FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
