In the 5th minute of the match, Gerardo Solomon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stacey Day was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Akademia De Futbol getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Milton Barnhart hit a great ball. Shelby Chung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Stacey Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Barnhart in the 14th minute of play forced Hawaii Suns's goalkeeper Denny Salas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Akademia De Futbol's Milton Barnhart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denny Salas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hawaii Suns's goalkeeper Denny Salas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stacey Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dustin McIntyre in the 21st minute of the match. When Dustin McIntyre came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Hawaii Suns fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dustin McIntyre couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Akademia De Futbol's goalkeeper Stacey Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Gerardo Solomon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 31 in the game by Gerardo Solomon from a close distance when the talented Stacey Day managed to make a qualified save. Akademia De Futbol's players were relieved. 34 minutes into the match, Akademia De Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Dustin McIntyre came free, but Stacey Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dustin McIntyre came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Hawaii Suns fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dustin McIntyre couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daren Price in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denny Salas saved Hawaii Suns from getting behind. Daren Price fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denny Salas having to interfere. The supporters of Akademia De Futbol booed when Hawaii Suns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathanial Stallings didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Denny Salas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Barnhart in the 53rd minute of play. Denny Salas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. If Daren Price had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Rudolph Fay put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hawaii Suns fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Shelby Chung's late challenge caught a Akademia De Futbol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shelby Chung helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Akademia De Futbol booed when Hawaii Suns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shelby Chung didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hawaii Suns's Shelby Chung got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Gerardo Solomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerardo Solomon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Milton Barnhart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denny Salas was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Akademia De Futbol's Milton Barnhart slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Denny Salas. That made the score 0-3 after 83 minutes of play. Milton Barnhart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denny Salas having to interfere. If Milton Barnhart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Akademia De Futbol walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
