Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Percy Crenshaw took the kick off in the first half of the match. Percy Crenshaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allen Raines having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nathanial Harris during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 6 minutes into the game, one of Athetic:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Landon Dahlstrom walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Mark Willoughby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mark Willoughby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavin Moreland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Wright in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Percy Crenshaw's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Allen Raines was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Beach's Gavin Moreland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Willoughby in the 34th minute of play. After 36 played minutes, Athetic's Nathanial Harris shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gavin Moreland came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Athetic reached it. Sal Jolly charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sal Jolly the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sal Jolly kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Willoughby in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gavin Moreland saved Beach from getting behind. When Athetic's Mark Willoughby in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Beach's goalie prevented a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Athetic's Allen Raines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Wolfe in the 55th minute of play. Mark Willoughby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavin Moreland having to interfere. After having played for 58 minutes, Kasey Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athetic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kasey Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Jessie Steiner in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Athetic's Bruce Stephens. Gavin Moreland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Link, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Percy Crenshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allen Raines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match Pablo Atwood shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavin Moreland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Jared Brownell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Athetic the free kick. A collision led to Beach getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jared Brownell hit a great ball. During the 81st minute of the match Sal Jolly completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sal Jolly a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Gavin Moreland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mark Willoughby's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Bruce Stephens charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruce Stephens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Athetic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Stephens to maneuver through the defense. Gavin Moreland was a little too slow when Mark Willoughby got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 0-1. 93 minutes into the match, Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Link came free, but Gavin Moreland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Mark Willoughby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
