Rex Ambriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walton Roberts in the 28th minute of the match. David Marshall made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Merrill Jean sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute, Tara Hills's Riley Thurston dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 48 minutes into the match, Huron FC's Raul Russell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rex Ambriz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raul Russell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rex Ambriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Blanchard hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Miguel Lim was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Walton Roberts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rex Ambriz having to make a save. In the 65th minute Merrill Jean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Marshall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Marshall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riley Thurston in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Tara Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Walton Roberts came free, but Rex Ambriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Orlando Blanchard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Russell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rex Ambriz firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Walton Roberts came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Huron FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walton Roberts couldn't finish the play. Orlando Blanchard's late challenge caught a Huron FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Blanchard helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tara Hills getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Orlando Blanchard hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Huron FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tara Hills.
