Marvin Muller took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jesse Tomlinson. Rayados's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manuel Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jesse Tomlinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Rayados's Ace Green threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rhett Hodge, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 9 played minutes Galt AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Cadena. If Rhett Hodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesse Tomlinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silas Coulter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesse Tomlinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Rosario Bristol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ace Green having to make a save. When Silas Coulter came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Galt AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silas Coulter couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute of the match, Rosario Bristol got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ace Green was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Manuel Gonzalez struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jesse Tomlinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galt AFC. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silas Coulter was the one to do the kick off. Rosario Bristol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ace Green having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Galt AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marvin Muller. 78 minutes into the match, Galt AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rhett Hodge came free, but Ace Green reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudolf Cadena kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Rhett Hodge might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ace Green. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rhett Hodge ran back to his position shaking his head. Rosario Bristol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Rayados's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silas Coulter fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Galt AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
