Rex Ambriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Link, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Mark Willoughby made a precise shot to the right of Rex Ambriz. Tara Hills's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Riley Thurston made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Tara Hills's Rex Ambriz got control of the ball when Mark Willoughby tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 55 played minutes Dante Link rounded Tara Hills's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Mark Willoughby in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rex Ambriz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 67 minutes into the match, Athetic's goal looked a bit too open when Riley Thurston came free, but Allen Raines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Merrill Jean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Riley Thurston in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allen Raines prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mark Willoughby took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rex Ambriz. Rex Ambriz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4.
