Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kirk Godfrey got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute Kirk Godfrey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse Tomlinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kirk Godfrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rusty Pagan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Tomlinson having to interfere. Rosario Bristol kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Rusty Pagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jesse Tomlinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Rusty Pagan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Rayados's Jesse Tomlinson. Jesse Tomlinson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jesse Tomlinson made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Rusty Pagan sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Rhett Hodge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayados's supporters rose to their feet, but Rhett Hodge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Preston Banning breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rusty Pagan scored 2-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesse Tomlinson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Rayados getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Alan McNamara hit a great ball. Mel Rosario was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
In the 58th minute of the match, Rhett Hodge tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Preston Banning saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, St. Matthews's Terry Barnes got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 61 minutes, Kirk Godfrey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St. Matthews and the Rayados players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, St. Matthews's Kirk Godfrey got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jesse Tomlinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rusty Pagan in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in St. Matthews's zone, Brock Huff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Preston Banning came out of the goal and Brock Huff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kirk Godfrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Tomlinson having to interfere. Rusty Pagan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Preston Banning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhett Hodge in the 76th minute of play. Rosario Bristol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute Kirk Godfrey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse Tomlinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tory Reaves charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tory Reaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tory Reaves hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute of the match St. Matthews got a corner. Rayados's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mel Rosario ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led St. Matthews's Mel Rosario to fire away a dangerous shot which Jesse Tomlinson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jesse Tomlinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Godfrey in the 95th minute of play.
