Stacy Cegielski made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, Lisbon's goal looked a bit too open when Stacy Cegielski came free, but Dwayne Bradshaw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lisbon getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ron Matthews hit a great ball. Lisbon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Stacy Cegielski scored to the left of an out of position Dwayne Bradshaw, making the score, 1-0. Benito Foster was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. West Burlington's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Lisbon:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of West Burlington:s goal. When Lisbon's Aldo Downing in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye West Burlington's goalie prevented a goal. 20 minutes into the match, Aldo Shepherd notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of West Burlington's Merrill Rollins. Merrill Rollins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute Stacy Cegielski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwayne Bradshaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Lisbon getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Aldo Downing hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, West Burlington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waylon Albert to maneuver through the defense. Merrill Rollins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Downing, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Aldo Shepherd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merrill Rollins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Downing, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Lisbon's Dwayne Bradshaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stacy Cegielski in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Downing stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Stacy Cegielski made a precise shot to the right of Dwayne Bradshaw. Lisbon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Stacy Cegielski sped through Lisbon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dwayne Bradshaw. After 61 played minutes, West Burlington's Odell Pierre shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dwayne Bradshaw came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in West Burlington reached it. After 62 played minutes Lisbon got a freekick which was hit by Alex Rodrigues. Ron Matthews's late challenge caught a West Burlington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ron Matthews helped the player get up and apologised. Dwayne Bradshaw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stacy Cegielski in the 66th minute of the match. Arturo Storey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dwayne Bradshaw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Lisbon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aldo Shepherd got free with Merrill Rollins in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Aldo Downing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, Lisbon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamar Cesario to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Benito Foster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stacy Cegielski in the 86th minute of play forced Lisbon's goalkeeper Dwayne Bradshaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stacy Cegielski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lisbon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for West Burlington.
