Lanny Cobb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Rivers in the 10th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Gilberto Bruce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Dunn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Bruce succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Mishawaka's Roberto Dunn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Bruce in the 23rd minute of play. Fred Regan's late challenge caught a Springfield FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Regan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Fred Regan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The goal made the score 1-3. 33 minutes into the match, Springfield FC's goalkeeper Lanny Cobb had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cole Warner. Lucas Savage's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roberto Dunn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Bruce in the 38th minute of play forced Mishawaka's goalkeeper Roberto Dunn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelio Rivers to strike the kick off in the second half. When the final whistle sounded Springfield FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mishawaka.
