Albert Copeland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Dwayne Bradshaw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Friend made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Shepherd in the 12th minute. When Aldo Shepherd came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Lisbon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Shepherd couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute Albert Copeland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwayne Bradshaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dwayne Bradshaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dallas Sheridan in the 21st minute of play. Dallas Sheridan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albert Copeland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Albert Copeland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwayne Bradshaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jamar Cesario fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lisbon's protests and gave Jamar Cesario a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Lisbon defense, Albert Copeland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dwayne Bradshaw. The Lisbon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dwayne Bradshaw should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Aldo Downing fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Manuel Friend made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Downing in the 39th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Aldo Downing got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 45 minutes into the game, Lisbon's Aldo Downing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Friend made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Downing to make the kick off. If Albert Copeland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuel Friend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Downing, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for De Kalb! Aldo Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, De Kalb's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Shepherd came free, but Manuel Friend reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to De Kalb getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Marcellus Cooley hit a great ball. Aldo Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Wilcox hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes, Lisbon's Dean Crow shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Friend came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lisbon reached it. A collision led to De Kalb getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jerrod Simpson hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, De Kalb's Dallas Sheridan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dwayne Bradshaw. Dwayne Bradshaw yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Aldo Shepherd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Friend read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Aldo Downing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lisbon's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Downing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Friend breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
