Mishawaka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canadian the free kick. After 25 played minutes Canadian got a freekick which was hit by Sanford Saenz. If Aurelio Rivers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristan Pittman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Canadian's Lance Bergstrom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Dunn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st match minute, Mishawaka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Peterson to maneuver through the defense. Cole Warner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Earl Godfrey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aurelio Rivers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. During the 39th minute of the match Fred Regan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fred Regan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Mishawaka getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Fred Regan hit a great ball. Tristan Pittman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Roberto Dunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mishawaka's Roberto Dunn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Bergstrom in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes, Canadian's Tory Kaplan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roberto Dunn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Canadian reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cole Warner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Mishawaka's zone, Tristan Pittman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Dunn came out of the goal and Tristan Pittman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Lance Bergstrom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Dunn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 67 minutes into the match, Mishawaka's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Pittman came free, but Roberto Dunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Dunn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tristan Pittman's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Tyrone Barneys short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Earl Godfrey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 73 minutes into the match, Canadian's goalkeeper Earl Godfrey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cole Warner. After 76 played minutes Mishawaka got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Graham. After recieving a nice pass, Canadian's Tory Kaplan tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Mishawaka booed when Canadian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwight Nunn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cole Warner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Earl Godfrey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Roberto Dunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Bergstrom in the 91st minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mishawaka players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Canadian.
