In the 16th minute, Seth Rader left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SLC FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 21st minute Russ Perry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kip Wyatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, J.P. Shaw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that J.P. Shaw's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kip Wyatt was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Messibeast's Vance Longoria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Messibeast from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julio Aviles during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute Russ Perry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kip Wyatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Messibeast booed when SLC FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Aviles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Russ Perry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Kip Wyatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, SLC FC's goal looked a bit too open when Russ Perry came free, but Kip Wyatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

58 minutes into the match, Messibeast's goal looked a bit too open when Seth Rader came free, but Vance Longoria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, J.P. Shaw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SLC FC's Leonardo Hare got a free kick in the 63rd minute. J.P. Shaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darin Lacy hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Vance Longoria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seth Rader, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Vance Longoria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Morrison in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seth Rader in the 88th minute of play forced Messibeast's goalkeeper Vance Longoria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vance Longoria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. SLC FC's Seth Rader got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SLC FC! When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Messibeast's Darin Lacy got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kip Wyatt. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
