After a rather tough play, LA Galaxy FC's Alfonso Navarro got a free kick in the 30th minute. A collision led to Westbrook FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Albert Baca hit a great ball. When Alex Rooney fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA Galaxy FC's protests and gave Alex Rooney a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, LA Galaxy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Rooney to maneuver through the defense. Jeffrey Goldberg scored 1-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Byron Smalls, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Rooney to make the kick off. Sergio Arellano's late challenge caught a LA Galaxy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Arellano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Westbrook FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Arellano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Goldberg in the 58th minute of play forced LA Galaxy FC's goalkeeper Byron Smalls to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Sergio Arellano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 minutes, Garry Bellamy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westbrook FC and the LA Galaxy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Garry Bellamy kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, LA Galaxy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeffrey Goldberg came free, but Byron Smalls reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Alex Rooney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Goldberg in the 84th minute of play forced LA Galaxy FC's goalkeeper Byron Smalls to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Barnes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfonso Navarro went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alfonso Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Barnes having to interfere. Freddy Townsend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. David Barnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, LA Galaxy FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
